Can relationships help or hinder you from obtaining your weight loss goals?

There are many motivators for weight loss including relationships.  I have met quite a few people in fitness classes and the gym who have told me that their partner or even best friend (bff) have made comments to discourage them and basically cause them to fail at their weight loss goals. In an article by Laurie Palwlik-Kienien, your social circle can cause weight gain (or weight loss).  She states that  Friends affect more than "just" your attitude, mindset, and goals. Friends make you fat, happy, sad, or even sick
