How becoming a father motivated me to want a healthier lifestyle

Becoming a parent changes your life entirely.  You now have a precious little baby that is looking to you to take care of him or her.  You begin to provide the love and nurturing that he or she needs to grow up healthy.  This father's day, I wanted to post a testimony of how children can motivate and inspire parents to want to live a healthier lifestyle.  Will Collins gives his inspirational testimony of how his children provided the encouragement that he needed to lose 200 pounds.  He discusses how prayer, scripture and fasting were incorporated into his fitness plan. He says, "Life has so many adventures involved in it. Some referred to as "ups & downs". But if you stay focus and stay the course, you will find your niche and end up doing the things you enjoy the most. You must keep on striving!" And what Will enjoys most is being a father and with his children.

After I read this, I thought it was the perfect testimony for this Father's Day. There are a lot of good fathers who do not get the recognition that they deserve.  Society is more focused on the "dead beat" or absentee fathers which you are constantly watching on talk shows. Let's start celebrating the good fathers who can be positive role models for the other fathers to follow.  A positve role model of a father in the family will even inspire children in generations to come to want to continue and have this standard of life.
