It is so important that we eat right and develop a healthy diet that becomes a part of our lifestyle. Gaining weight is so easy when we make unhealthy choices to eat foods loaded in grease, fat and carbohydrates. Losing weight, however, requires exercise and monitoring what we put into our bodies but what if we were diagnosed with an illness that adds on to the stress of trying to reach our fitness goals. How would you react? Would you give up? Would you become depress? Or would you have a determine mindset to make a change regardless of your situation or the circumstances and walk on faith?

Tiffany Lee is an example of a determine women who walk on faith and made that change for life. Her most important goal was to become as healthy as possible and despite being diagnosis with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).  She was not going to let it beat her or keep her from reaching her health and fitness goals.

Lupus (SLE) is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. Autoimmune means your immune system cannot tell the difference between these foreign invaders and your body’s healthy tissues ("auto" means "self") and creates autoantibodies that attack and destroy healthy tissue.

Doctors wanted to send me to a rehabilitation hospital in order to regain my muscle strength as my muscles atrophied (shrank in size/strength).  But being the person I am, I refused and got myself back on my feet and within 2 months I was totally back in the gym and ready to move forward. Through all of my trials and tribulations, I managed to receive my national spinning certification and AFPA (American Fitness Professionals and Associates) personal trainer certification.”  In my opinion, she gives a victorious, inspirational testimony  that I could not wait to share with my readers.
