The first step to conquering obesity is to admit that you need to lose weight. You are held accountable for the care of your body.

Do not let others persuade you not to take care of your body and health. There are times your husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, family members, or friends may feel that you are fine being over weight. They love you unconditionally and they may not see the health risks involved. However, do not let someone force, ridicule or criticize you to lose weight. It has psychological effects on how you perceive weight lost, nutrition and exercise.

Remember: It must be your decision. When you do not make the decision for your self, you procrastinate and become discourage and stressed. When you put the added pressure on your self, you some times gain more weight then lose.

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
I Cor. 3:16-17, King James Version of the Bible

  2. Pace your self. Results are not going to come over night.

  3. Set a goal. Once you start losing weight, do not let others prevent you from obtaining your goals. Many people will try to tell you that you are losing too much weight. As long as you are meeting the requirements for you body measurements and size, stay focus. Some time a person's jealous spirit may defer you. Don't let it. Instead, you should ask them to join you and become partners in the battle of the bulge. Change their negative thinking and comments into a positive.
